this is for greencard holders..
whats best time to give step3?
before september 1st or frm oct-dec or after match or during residency?
of course we dont need h1b bt does step3 score help in interviews?
does low score in s3 affect interviews?

hi dermdoc..am applying for 2009 match...yet to give step2ck...
bt this is bcoz i want to plan my schedule...
was confused when to give step3

before sept1st or
before interviews or after interviews??

Right after step 2 CK, when things are still fresh.

I talked to the Internal Medicine chief in my city and told her I want to pass step 3 before applying, even though I don't need it. She gave me a huge smile. I got the impression that for her, a good step 3 score proves clinical competency.

so its better to give before sept1st or atleast mention in application that wl give step3 in sept or oct....right?i.e before interviews ?

It's better to pass and have a good score to show during interview, in my opinion.

thanks...ok...so if i m confident and think that wl get good score i should give it before interviews....bad score can affect interviews...
