What are the expectations regarding thank you notes.

1. Does it have to be a typed letter by mail...or email would suffice too?

2. What should be the time period to send the thank you notes....immediately...or say after a week or so....

3. Would u send it to everyone who interviewed or just the Program director.,.

Thank you

What if my handwriting is terrible? I was thinking about buying cards, attaching a typewriten letter and signing it... otherwise they might hate my handwriting! jaja grin

handwriting is better typing in case of sending thank you card. It shows your sincerity.

But if your handwriting is terrible, type it.

Good luck

Is there a need to send a thank you note to a program that rejected me? Do they anticipate any kind of reply?

Mostly they ignore your thank you.

Good luck.

Ive been using e-mail. The point is to get something there. If they provide you with the e-mail addresses, use e-mail. If not, send a thank you note. Im not doing cards or anything like that. Just a brief thank you note for the experience.

Sorry, but typing vs handwriting doesn't mean a thing.

1. Email works. It will actually get to your file.

2. I've had them sent the same day as the interview, and as far out as a month.

3. One to the entire program could be fine.

4. Less than 25% of persons send thank yous - don't sweat it if you weren't planning on it.
