Isnt the 2nd step supposed to be DNA dependant RNA polymerase, which convert DNA to RNA? why the answer is C?

i am still not atatisfied, i know reverse transcriptase is the enzyme of HBV, but i dont know how can reverse transcriptase do the normal transcription(DNA to RNA). reverse transcriptase is supposed to do the opposite, RNA to DNA, right?

i pick e , it's absulutely right....rtranscription (and hence trascriptase) means the synthesis of RNA from DNA....reverse transcriptase means the opposite which is the case in an RNA virus such as HIV......by the way guys tell me...which microbiology books do u use...fir me i use kaplan 2002..is it enough? but i need to see the DVDs as well..i s this good?

hope4dabest, thanks for your input, until we try and discuss it cant be clear, its better to clear, we need to know the right answer, even if we are wrong. i hope we are right on e. thanks shilakh, i read kaplan first, now i wrote down extra points of kaplan on first aid, i didnt see the video, i dont think its necessary, but for immunology, if its only 4 lecture, i might try. since immunology is so critical, i read it from kaplan first and now kaplan medical essential. first aid is good for micro, but not that good for immuno.

the answer yo this q is C coz in the first step how can a partially double stranded DNA be converted to double stranded DNA in this case pds DNA makes RNA then this RNA makes ds DNA by reverse transcriptiopn i think the answer is C wat do u all think?

I choose E. reverse transcriptase should be the enzyme for step 3 in this specific depiction.
