Hi BBB,
As I have mentioned in one of my earlier post abt a program.
I applied last year and was invited for an interview at one of the program.
After going unmatched I emailed the PD requesting him/her to keep me in mind in case an open spot pops up.
PD replied back saying there were chances in the next 3 months that they might have a vacancy and said he/she would consider me an excellent candidate for the position.
I emailed him/her after the period mentioned and was told that unfortuantely they have no opening and encouraged me to apply again.
I emailed the PD after applying on Sep 1st and havent't heard anything since then.
I am very tensed as I am strongly looking forward for this program in such a cut throat competition.
The program has started inviting candidates for interview but I haven't heard so far.
Last year by this time I already had an interview from them.
I emailed again in Nov first week and no reply.
Should I call the PC and ask the application status ? Will this permanently disqualify my application ?
I know I am not someone special and not the only one in this situation. But I am feeling lost and really don't know which door to knock.
I will grealty appreciate any inputs from you in my case.

It certainly can't hurt your application any worse than no interview, can it?
