Hello,
Can anybody explain me what kaplan medical exactly is.
I'm an IMG. If I look after kaplan on www.amazon.com, I barely get results.
How much does the complete version for Step 1 cost if bought newly?
What is included? (I read something about 4 volume books...? Or 7 subject-based books)
I'm sorry I ask such stupid questions , but I'm a little bit confused
Please help me.

Go to www.kaplan.com and check what they offer. The lecture notes are included in the live courses and are sold on e-bay, too.

but do not buy 4 books one, it should be 7 subj books plus one Q book for step 1.
Also can get books in forums for sale section, not this one, & e bay too .
If able to attend the kaplan course , it is time to enroll for it since as far as I know this is the best deal, discount I have ever seen .
It is discounting $500 off for the course , check the side advertizing saying , family saving here http://kaplanmedical.com/novembersavings
But it's ur choice, some just buy from friends or from some one who already done the exm , like from e bay with cheaper price , may be latest or not, but just be ware since even e bay books seller saying latest but showing old books or mixed old new in picture .

On kaplan.medical.com I found: USMLE Step 1 Home Study Program.
But this are only 4 books.
Where on this website do I find information about the 7 + 1 books edition which I found on ebay. I mean where can I check what the newest edition is?
A seller on ebay is writing that the books he offers are the latest edition:
Pathology (2006)
Pharmacology (2006)
Biochemistry and Medical Genetics (2006)
Anatomy (2006)
and:
Physiology (2004)
Microbiology and Immunology (2004)
Behavioral Sciences (2004)
Qbook (2004)
Is this really the latest edition.
Where can I check out?

Kaplan doesn't sell the Lecture Notes by themselves. I've heard the Home Study is not that good. They are included in some of the packages. I've heard the Home Study is not that good. I don't know which is the latest edition, sorry.

All the books have a 2007 edition , including Phys. , Micro Immu, B.Science and Q book. They all come in blue cover ( 2004 ones have white cover ).
Although I am not sure how much new information they contain as compared to 2004 edition.
