Hello, I am revising neurology at the moment which i came across with the same trouble i had when i first learned about multiple sclerosis- how are T1 and T2 MRI different? (in terms of how they are conducted and what they show)

I understand the concept of T1 and T2 now. so the MS plaques are bright in T1 control image because of the Gadolinium contrast. Is that correct? What makes the plaques bright in T2?
