Hello guys

At the moment I'm preparing for the test, as you might already know .

Now this is the thing, i have notice people scoring in the 500 in NBME getting good grades in UW and getting more than 40 correct in the USMLE CD and failing the testconfused
For step1 those were good indicator of at least passing the test.
So what is going on with step2ck?
is it so dificult?
Is it so different from what you study?
I have been preparing and learning thing that are so cool for me and new, and I talk with a friend and he was grin, and told me they will never ask you that, is to basic and easyshocked.

So I would like to ask very humbling to please tell me what do you think is the best way to go around step2ck, what was your mistakes and what to focus on more.

any advise will be very greatful.
You guys have the xperience of the test and what could be the best books, question banks and way to prepare for this test.
Thank you for your time and help.

I agree with you, this is interesting 20 views no help so far.
Is so much medicine and only specific things they want you to answer.

No matter if you have clinical experience is what they are looking for the answer, not your answer or the hospital were you work answer or the doctor you doing USCE does is what they want.

But what is that they want.
Is clinical, is more fun than step1 100% but at the same time you may know so much and for the test do poorly.
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP

shaking headshaking head

I haven't take it yet, but seems to me that most of the 99'rs advice also to make your own short notes for a final review just before the exam... I think that if you keep on taking your notes through your entire preparation at the end you will have what is probably going to be the best quick review book for you.. better than a FA or a crush, specially because it won't be like a new book with which you're not familiarized...just a thought I wanted to sharewink

I did not have enough time to finish the kaplan and the first aid but i definitely hit uw with i all i had.
With working full time i did not have a choice, but thankfully it paid off i did not score 99 but I have a comfortable score

the less the amount of books the better. But to succed, kaplan, uw 2 to 3 times, make notes of answers in your first aid, then read and reread the notes made in first aid and read the first aid. Finally pray
