Notice the emphasis on UNIVERSITY ? Anyone familiar with this program ? Scutwork has a real bad review, but it dates back to 2005.

Does anyone know if they;ve imporved the program ? Seems like their benefits package is pretty good, and they have other residencies within the program itself ?

Anybody ?

I dont know if it's good. I think it improved a lot this yr as they changed the PD to a really nice and knowledgeable doctor(I met her on a CME conference). The place is not nice but fellowship chances.

However, I know at least 2 guys left the program after PGY1 for other places this June.

i also have IV from them

my interview is in December

i heard that residents are not happy on that program and lots of missmanagement and nepotism in that place.

Teaching - very poor !! New PD does not care about residents.

I heard that residents do not like that new PD and when it comes to a fellowship there is - huge competition ( 2 positions for each fellowship) and forget it.

If no other choice, what can we do raised eyebrow

i am gonna attend the interview, if at the end of the season I will have many offers, I will NEVER choose BROOKDALE !!

brookdale was a university some years ago, now thts stripped.....only hosp remained.....but still its called...UNIVERSITY
one resident told me this....
anyway the program is purely community hosp..like
almost very little academic work

I got interview invitation from them as well.

wot did u mean about the fellowship chances i didnt get it. One of friends told that they do get fellowship in haem(at brookdale) , nephro or pulminary critical ,
