o.k yesterday I didn;t finish my target. I read only 50 pages from kap pedi book and did on block of q before I went to bed.
I will try to cover most of the pedi book today. 20 days to go!

I think my capacity is 50 pages and 50 questions with explanation. That was what I did yesterday. so pedi is going to take 4 days of my few days. I have done the reading part for today and I will do the question. This time 2 blocks.
Help me God!!!

hey maki!trust me,paeds is so overwhelming that doing 50 pages alongwith 50 questions in a day is a big achievement.try discussing stuff with someone.that really helps especially when you are short of time.it also gives an analysis of how well you are prepared for the exam.and all the best with everything.

maki, wish you good luck with the exam. It is pretty hard to study with a toddler around and another one on the way. We picked this hard path to pursue, let's all work hard for our dream.

thank you my freinds.
weekend was so bad. my son was sick with cold and fever I didn't read much. yesterday I only did one block of question and couldn't even read the explanation. The time is running like anything and I am not doing much.
Let me stop complaining and start by reading the explanations for the qs I did.
Oh dear Mother of Lord be with me and give me strength!!!

thank you Ivonne. I actually took NBME -1 three weeks ago and I got 510. But I didn't get time to work hard on my week areas. I am planning to take another NBME at the end of this week.
Yesterday I did the left over 46 explanation from UW and another 3 bloks with explanation. I am reading now the notes I took yesterday. Today I will start surgery and do some questions.

Maki, not much time left for you. Work as hard as you can, and try to put other stuff aside. You can pick them up and enjoy your life after the exam. Now time is precious and crucial for a better score. GL.

Hi my freinds
How are you doing? Yes I was away from the diary land. I was studying hard and postponded the exam for one last time to Dec 10.
I took NBME3 yesterday night and it was 610. I couldn't belive my eyes couse I was afraid of it. You know everybody said it is the toughest one and few weeks ago my NBME was 510. I was realy expecting not more than 450 in form 3.
The problem is I am in denial. I didn't see any of the questions before and I can not say the score is biased. But I have this low selfestem, which always force me to put myself down. Even with NBME3 score of 610 I feel frustration about the exam.
Oh God pls take this fear away from me.
Please my freinds tell me what to do to boost my selfestem.

My exam is on monday. You can imagine how stressed I am.I did NBME 2 2 days ago and it was 590, lower than my NBME3. I am sleepy in the morning and that is when I did the NBME 2. The pregnancy is making me sleep deprived. I am on my 36 weeks of pregnancy. I am waking every 30 minutes during the night and feel tired and sleepy during day time. I should have taken this damn exam on my second trimester.
I feel like I forgot everything. But I want it to be over. I want it to be over and I want to spend quality time with my son and be ready for baby number 2.
Dear Lord help me. Holy Mother of Lord be with me.
How many exams did I take through out my life? How every damn exam make me feel like crap? why am I not getting used to it?

Don't be funny!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those are great scores, u can only do better, mostly possible if u keep CALM. So go ace the test. GOOD LUCK do well, remember u don't want to do this again and u'll be fine!!!!!!!!!!

I took the exam today.
Hmmmmm time management was a big issue for me. I couldn't finish 2 questions in 3 of the blocks(total of 6 questions). It is hard to say the exam was easy or hard. When I get out of the test center I felt indifferent,
The bulk of the question was from internal medicine, then pediatrics follow , then gyne obs. surgery questions were here and there mostly from trauma and acute abdomen.Psychiatry questions were few ethics and more on mood distrubance and schizopherenia. Atleast 2 questions of statistics in each block.
I didn't get chance to read the question, let alone to listean to the audio questions. But there were two and from the pictures I can guss they were murmurs, one pediatrics and one adult. I felt bad about it b/c I know I am good with identifying murmurs:
The question types are like NBME but they are longer. In difficulty level they are like NBME 2 I guss.
I think doing the sample CD they send us is good. B/c I got quite a number of questions from them in the real one. Some were exact questions and some with same concepts .
I am glad it is over.Now it is in the hand of God.
Now I can spend my time with my son.  and no more let night studying. at least for now!

oh one thing. I didn't sleep yesterday. And my eyes were open through out the exam b/c of the two cans of starbacks coffee. I was feeling tired after the 3rd block. so my freinds don't trust your adrenaline. Try to get a good night sleep before your exam. use a sleeping aid if you have to.
And I thank my unborn baby for being such a good baby through out the exam. she was not kicking my bladder so I went to rest room only 3 times.
