Thanks dr ruman, bangle and ujk. fanaye, to avoid repeating of Qs during second round you should select all available Qs for specific topic and subject. you can see number of available Qs in the bracket aside. if you dont have time to do all the Qs again, take only incorrect Qs (or marked if you have done good marking. Don't look at %correct while second round. It says nothing. . Concentrate on material. By the way 72 during first time is really a good score. I have been following score thread for a while and seen that positive predictive value of >70%correct in UW for 99in real exam is more than 90%. So your odds of getting 99 to not getting is 9:1. Stay confident.. [may be a biased finding but still...]. All the best.

Thanks Anshu, Inkspot , yousefreda. Daisy, If you have really mastered Kaplan notes, FA might not prove great help. But If you have problem remembering facts, do FA as much as times possible. It's completely an individualized choice. In other words, if you are still doing straightforward Qs incorrect,or you take long time to think and answer before recalling some fact, FA is the book you're looking for.

Basophilia, second read [you take x days] + Qs [ y days]. whether you do together or separate it is gonna be x+y days in the end. and it's always better to do Qs as early as possible in the prep period. Qs will help your second read much more effective.

Congrats deja vu. About NBME forms, as far as step 1 is concerned , the last form i took correlated 100% with my final score.

thanks p499 , faraym. P499, for my prep time http://www.prep4usmle.com/forum/thread/19081/2/ Faraym, I too think that NBMEs are good predictor. though in my case the UW score predictor formula suited perfectly. [something like 2.45xUW%+70]
