yes 90% membranous only. if defect <0.5cm ,closes spontaneously,k/n as maladie roger .... :!:

so the defect can be in both muscular or memberanous portion, just that membranous is more common?

Atrial septum formed by mascular cushins Primum and Secundum septae. No membranous part to it.
