DrChivago wrote: Thanks for answering. I also read in other forums from people who took the exam that Pharma and Micro is enough from FA..I was just wondering if there is other subject well covered by FA. I doing Goljan RR+audio, FA and UW. that's it. My exam is in Dec 3. look u r in the last leg of ur prep and right now picking up a new resource wud be a terrible idea. So if u can just go thru Kaplan Pharma then it wud be good for u otherwise u will have to do UW Pharma and Micro more thoroughly. My 2 cents.

it is not enough 4 anything .. however, it's the best guide u can find.. if ur in short of time , use first aid as a guide that is read it along with a good source as a refrence .. let's say u'll doing anticoagulants in phrama .. do this part along with kaplan notes as a source and write down the extra info on first aid for a leter review.. in this example i can tell you that heparin induced thrombocytopenia was not mentioned in fa but its there in kaplan and i got a case about it in exam .. don't panic .. fa definetly contain alot but it's better to have another good source to cover the deficiencies by covering the part from fa and skimming or reading what you don't understand from the source.. u can use MMRS as a source in micro .. it worked really good for me.. the q bank will difinetly help u covering the dificiencies more .. and u can add the extra notes again on fa best of luck

I only did pharm and micro out of FA, UW, QBank for step I. Scored 82%, take it for what it's worth.

I've used only FA+UW+Goljan for both Steps 1 and 2 and got 99/97, respectively. IMG, graduation: 2001

I think FA is weak in a couple places like Neuro but I'm using FA, Gojan, Kaplan Med Essentials, NBME and then Qbank, and then other sources like Robbins but only occasionally I doing what Pappy say's to do, ask WHY, Why it works? Mechanisms.

I have been studying on and off for two months ( right now I do not remember much) and I need to take the exam by Dec 23 no matter what...( one of the reasons: I will lose my money because I already extended once) Can I just study from FA and UW? I do not have time to study from other books. I need help please.
