m an img..my med school doesnt gv me mspe..they gv the deans letter...requested them...bt they refused...
so what to do now?wl it affect my application during 2009 match?

no.... they refused to make a mspe consisting of graphs and all...
they said they wl gv only deans letter as they did till now....

Tell them that things have changed and as they started doing the dean's letter at some point in time they will have to start doing the MSPE sooner or later so why later? Don't let yourself down don't go from your medical school without getting what you want! Tell them that you are trying to make something out of yourself and that it is incredible that they don't support their graduates to take their medical school to higher grounds! Believe me someday they will start doing it so why not start with you? Fight for what you want! This is life! If you don't fight for yourself nobody will!

As of now, Dean's Letter is still acceptable by ERAS/Program Directors. ERAS will put in a substitute letter that cites that youre MSPE has been replaced by the Dean's Letter.
Also, I dont think the MSPE has as much relevance to IMG status as it does for AMGs. Board scores, transcripts, and experience is weighed more in our situation.

u r right ...bt the system is different here...head clerk do these...n we graduate live far away frm the college area...we go specially for such paper work....n it takes a hell out just to get even one recommendation letter from a prof...forget the mspe

just submit your dean's letter...the MSPE doesn't matter much for IMG's, it is basically meant to judge AMG's, at least you have a dean's letters, many IMG's don't even have that....
