Do FA and Usmleworld and practise. If you have full time available then this time is sufficient. I haven't wrote it myself but have a similar plan. I was suggested the same from friends here on the forum. So first thing...Dont Panic!!! You can do it...!!!

Hey, watch these videos http://www.med-ed.virginia.edu/courses/pom1/video... and read FA... Go to UW only if you have time, and not satisfied with FA... And, of course, practice a lot, at least over a phone...

hey supra..dont worry..i also gave my exam in atlanta in july 17...its a nice center....read FA and uw....try and practice a lot in timed mode and enact as if u r doing in exam...and after that do write in the case sheet given in fa...it was very helful to me....this what i felt may be important to u ....now these are the basics I did..... 1.read the q properly....take 30 secs and understand what they are asking...knock on the door 2.Smile when appropriate....means....dont smile when patient is in agony...be sympathetic than...like if somebody is crying in pain...say....Hello mrs/mr x...I am so sorry to see u in this state...I will try and make u comfortable as soon as possible but for that i need to know what is the problem...can u plz tell me what is happening/where is the pain 3.shake hand when appropriate....like dont shake hand with a painful arm/hemiplegic patient with the same arm affected...i alwyas asked permission to write my notes...like...i said do u mind if i jot down few things while taking hx from u...i always stood rather than sitting on a chair... 4.good eye contact when talking ..always 5.follow the rule...LIQORAAA...PAMHUGFOSS like a robot(some times use ur common sense...that will be an exception though) ...i found it helful to write these pneumonics before entering the room 6.when they say in hx ...that some body has died....plz be sympathetic and say i am soryy to hear about that....if they are smoker...counsel them there and than....just a line....that have u thought of quitting...if yes than offer help...if know than say u r always there in case he changes his mind... 6.drape the patient always 7. wash ur hands and plz dry it..wet hands will give a negative point 8.take permission to examine each system...tell them what u r going to do...plz dont do like he/she is being attacked...it happens when u r very nervous...just follow the rules to every words...do u mind if i examine ur chest...for that i have to take ur gown down...when he/she is trying to remove the gown offer help....can i help u in untying the gown plz...after u finish plz tye it again.... 9.for female patients ask them to lift there breast to examine the heart sounds...fortunately i didnt have any patient where i have to do a detailed CVS exam...i dont think they keep any of them...but u will get many where u have to do a basic cvs exam 10. they will tell u in a video what all u shouldnt examine...in other words apart from those u can examine everything else 11.dim the light when using opthalmoscope....u really dont want to do much there...make sureur light falls on the eye and u go close enough to pretend that u have really seen the fundus... 12.after u finish examining tell them what is ur plan...always give a differential diag rather than a diagnosis...and say u will be back with results....if u need pelvic or rectal examination...tell them that u need to do those later...obviously u will never do it in exam.... 13.do write down while u r taking hx....like what medications they r on...how many packs of cig...and few little things which u forget later on...just words..not sentences 14.try and write a good pn with as clear handwriting as possible.... 15.when u find a station u dont understand...just follow the rule and do all basics right 16.at the end....you need a bit of luck....GL all of you
