I had an hunch it was related to the Diastole part of the cycle, look th emost blood flows thru coronary arteries is during diastole so therefore the most Oxygen supplied to the Cardiac muscle is during the diastole while systole part of the supplies more blood during excerise otherwise its not much compared to diastole.
