Dear friends
I am and old IMG (1999)completed my step 1 with 85 and step 2 with 79 on 1 st attempt.i have passed CS.
I have 4 yrs of clinical experience (in my home country),i have applied for some programs in internal medicine and pediatrics.
After my ck results i am totally shattered--i have lost all the hopes.because most of the programs ask for minmum of 80.
what are the education options that are available in USA as i am here on depndent visa/
IS ecfmg certificate used for any other courses other than residency?
please reply--
thanks

nope

The way I look at it, is that you've come to far to give up now. Keep trying, something will pan out.

g'luck

Don't give up hope....I know people with less than 80 on both exams on second attempt who have matched...the key is to apply all over the place and apply to known IMG friendly hospitals...Make sure you get some US clinical experience before you apply and you will match somewhere, remember, passing the USMLE's on the first attempt is an accomplishment by itself, so keep your hopes up and good luck...
