and bronx lebanon , who said they cant sponsor visas this time.
no rejections whatsoever

very few send regret-rejection.....rest I called them and find my rejections on phone

same here rejection from BUMC..however i do appreciate the fact thta they have bothered to write back to you and u know where u stand. atleast planning travel will be easier

Well, I guess putting on hold either means your application is under review/on wait/....
or polite way of saying that you are rejected. Most PCs I've called up are extremely circumstantial about the application status or secretive.
Funny as it may seem, I actually call up these guys (expensive calls from India ) and listen to them saying sorry.
just counted have 9 rejects as yet.

Hey P,
It seems I have reached my limit of 5 pms. I too am scared of calling up too many programs.. .. obvious reasons. The ones I have called up gave me responses, which are diff to read into. Firangs are generally polite, its best to wait for the invites to come.
Some programs (eg Loyola ,IL ) have started reviewing applications now.

having a rejection sounds disappointing but id rather find out about them earlier rather than later...it will help formulate your travel plans.Penn State had replied with a rather negative inclination so i'd count that as a rejection.
