"Tell me about your biggest strength(s)."
"Tell me about your biggest weakness(es)."

This question is almost ALWAYS asked. For those that have interviewed so far, Im sure you can confirm. Bu what exactly are they talking about ? Do they want to know that you can throw a football 100 yards, or do they want to know about your A+ marks in Gastro ? Or can we take it a step further and talk about our caring personality and hoping for the best in patients ?

This is a tough cookie...........and altohugh the answers are infinite, many applicants cna become tongue tied.

Fellow members, please chime in. We will ALL be asked this question. What are some possible strengths / weaknesses that you would list, in terms of being a DOCTOR or PERSONALITY.

Tel me about yourself".....

Now are we suppose to ell our biography here OR just our personality eg.

1. I am XXX born in YYY etc, Grad frm ---

OR

2.I am a very hardworking person...bla bla

i had this doubt too ..say we started telling them about our personality..we'd hav to tell almost the same stuff for the ques on "what r ur strengths" or "why shud we pick u"

so i think its better to talk abt the professional aspect.

Any other suggestions?

interviewer: "caring too much is not a weakness"

you: "in that case, I have no weaknesses, I'm exactly what your looking for. Where's the prematch papers for me to sign?"

my entire life was spent on obtaining the pieces of knowledge/skills necessary for you to call me in for an interview. I'm now hoping that your program can mold me, and help me put those pieces together to practice the art of medicine.
