Ive put doing some reading on how interviews are conducted. That includes commonly asked questions, how to answer them, inquiring about programs, etc. Anyways, some of these books make it seem that interviews are very STRESSFUL.

Then I read some of the interview experiences on this website, and most people have the "level of difficulty" no higher than 3 or 4 on a 0-10 scale.

What gives ? Are interviews really that stressful ? Obviously, there is some level of stress involved, but are PDs "ball-busters" ?

Your input is greatly appreciated, as interview season has begun !!!!!

Hey,
So far, I got 1 iv in FM last month. I did excellent at my interview. Yesterday, I received a personal letter (not general) from the PD stating that he is the person they are looking for and a good fit into his program. He also stated that he would like to see me again. I worked on my interview with a friend of mine. Asking common questions back and forth. Prepare to answer attemps and gap in your CV.

In conclusion, ALL YOU NEEDS IS 1 INTERVIEW TO IMPRESSS THE PD AND TO MATCH.

A piece of advise, BE YOURSELF, BE CONFIDENCE, BE HONEST AND SINCERE. Look straight into the PD eyes when you answer questions, ask smart questions
good luck

Honestly? It's not the interview that is tough. It's GETTING the interview that is tough.

This is really the best advice that I could tell you.....

Bang on!!!
I've been to 3 so far..
2 of them were really positive

My advice wud be..DON FAKE IT !!!
The reason y they have an interview is to know you
so it jus defeats the purpose.

About asking qns..u will bcom naturally curious as u find out bout the program...
Don have a fixed set of qns b4 u go in

and for the difficulty level ..yes..3-4/10..I guess..
They are not there to scare us away..but to have us with themsmiling face
