" What do you prefer between acedemic medicine and clinical medicine?"

Hi All . I got this question in the interview in PA but I don't understand meaning. Any response would appreciate.

Academic medicine is where u r associated with a hospital, u do some teaching, research etc in addition to seeing patients. Clinical medicine would probably be private practice. Hope this helps!

if you are interviewed at University based program-->answer you like both but prefer Academic medicine

if IV at community--> answer you like both but prefer clinical medicine

if possible, choose both

if only one option, I woulld go with Academic ( teaching based hospitals )
