how do u treat hyperthroidism in a preg woman

1 ) Low dose of Propanolol for the adrenergic symptoms and Propylthiouracil (PTU) in first trimester (safe in pregancy even if it crosses placenta )

2 ) Surgery in second trimester

If the Sx's can be controlled on PTU u can just mx medically but if Sx are not well controlled then go for surgery in the 2nd trimeseter

and as doc explained BB to control any Heart related Sx's are gievn initially
