Berkeley, university of california International students Enjoy San Francisco while studying at one of the world's great universities. Berkeley Summer Sessions welcomes students from all over the world—about 1,100 of our more than 16,000 students are visitors from outside the U.S. Here is a chance to experience American culture firsthand and to make friends from the U.S. and other countries. American education differs from that of other countries. In the U.S., you participate in discussions and projects, do library research, write papers, and take exams. Much of the learning takes place in the classroom. Living on (or near) campus is a big part of the summer experience. In the residence halls or International House you will meet students from Berkeley, from almost every state in the U.S., and from many other countries. We encourage you to join us, and to spend time visiting California's many scenic attractions. Enrollment is easy, and the experienced Summer Sessions staff is ready to assist you in any way to make your stay at Berkeley productive and enjoyable. http://summer.berkeley.edu/mainsite/type_intl.htm... Summer International Students Berkeley Summer Sessions welcomes students from all over the world. Summer is also the only time of the year when enrollment in courses is open to the community at large. http://internationaloffice.berkeley.edu/students/...

Well well, if all of that seems like dreams for you, remember that you can always volunteer and do the following: - Greet and assist patients and their families at the Information Desks.
- Escort patients to various locations within the Clinic.
- Provide assistance to patients preparing for and recovering from outpatient surgical procedures.
- Provide assistance and support for patients preparing for a variety of examinations.
- Visit with patients and their families as they await treatment in more sensistive areas of the Clinic.
- Use clinical and computer skills as an office assistant.
- Host a slide show, followed by a trail walk (weather permitting) on the beauty of our Sonoran Desert.
- Present an overview film and slide presentation about the Mayo System of health care and patient services at Mayo Clinic.
- Assist with seminars and other special events that take place at the Clinic.

p4a99, its indeed very informative esp the mayo clinic website, thank you for that. However I m a bit sceptical about the summer courses because iv heard bad stories about these kind of things being just a quick way of make the universities a few bucks and not much beneficial for personal development. Do you know anywhere that takes IMS for ½ year as exchange or visiting students?
