Dear BBB, I hope you see this question while you move your exhausted eyes from the piles of application to this forum. After about 2 wks silence, I began to receive some IVs this week with limited time slots for schedule, I guess these are the SECOND round for IV offers.

My question is, since these programs send me IVs on the second or even third round, does this mean I am less competitive in their candidate list (most competitive applicants received the IV early), so, even if I go to the interview, I will still be ranked low since I have been left behind at the start line? or everything will begin from zero, and my performance on interview day will determine everything?

The reason why I ask this question is, I have scheduled pretty full in the first round of IV offers received in September and early October, I may have to cancel some IVs to give time slots for these second round IV offers, I am just evaluate if this is worth doing.

Thank you very much for your time and answers.

Witht eh thousands of applications that a program is receiving why are you assuming that you are second or third round. Hell, we haven't finished going through applications the FIRST time and we are still inviting people. Does your last name start with a letter at the end of the alphabet? Did you apply later? No answer needed, but why start the interview process with the negative. You should be jumping for joy that you have an interview!!!! Praise to all the gods!!!!

The interview is the place for you to shine - for you to stand about the other 10-15-20 other people in the room and show the selection committe that they WANT YOU. Positive vibes only.

Best of luck.
