A fellowship between surgery and subspecialty or IM and subspecialty fellowship. Ususally intended to develop connections in field....
e.g.- burn, hand surgery etc..

Many a times FMG with previous residencies in their home countries chooses such fellowships and later either go back or take the formal residency route.
