Anybody know how long it takes to get certified; I've already passed s1,s2,ck. I sent the copies of the medical diploma today.

Hi Delta,
It depends on how long it takes to verify your diploma with your medical school. In my case my school credentials were verified before I got my last exam result, so only 2 days after I passed step 2 CK, ECFMG sent my certification immediately. Hope that helps.

where did u send the copies of diploma..i mean dont we send it while we are giving the exams..so that by the time we are done with exams the diploma is sent to our schools by ECFMG, verified there and send back to ECFMG

u would have sent the medical copies when u first applied. by now the ECFMG should have sent the documents to your college.
from my experience the verification of documents sent by your college should take less than a week.
My fiurther question is once the verification is done and all exam results are available does anyone know how long does it take to get the certificate.

medocuk: my cs results were declared on 10th oct, my oasis ecfmg cert column was updated on 12th and i received my cert, hard copy, by fedex on 18th oct....they also sent a email giving me the date of cert dispatch and the tracking number of fedex...hope this helps

they need to verify your credentials.
If they received your medical diploma and its English translation (or graduation status), medical transcripts DIRECTLY from your medical school, they verify them, if your credentials are verify, they will send your certificate.
STEPS AS FOLLOWS:
1. yOU SEND THEM your diploma
2. They send a package to you medical school, also send you a letter in which they say that they have sent to your school to verify
3. You should have someone follow their package, your school will include your medical diploma or your graduation status, transcripts, then SEAL the envelop and send back to ECFMG
4. After they receive package back, they need some days to verify them
5. if your credentials are veirfied, they send you a letter saying this, you also can check in OASIS to know your credentials status.
6. your credentials are verified and you passed step 1, 2ck, 2cs, they send your certificate immedicately.
