must be a very dumb, pointless question and i think i know the answer but im not sure.

is any source of goljans good enough?!

i have his audio,

and i have his lecture notes, the one on pdf with a lot of markings,

i have his rapid review text book,

and i have this "saunders text and review series" pathology review

just wondering which source is best. i personally dont like the lecture notes, or the rapid review book, so out of the two "the audio/or the textbook" which is best. i like the book because its smaller, more to the point and it is organized with titles.

but is the audio, better ?

i am tedious i need one source. i ve done his audio before and sort of literally hold it word for word, and embaressingly cant really discuss the topics on my own, confidently. i think using the uadio makes me rely on it word for owrd, because it doesnt have proper headings and bullet forms.

i'm not really asking for ones preference, we each have our own. im just asking if its okay if i stick to one goljan over the other. god i wonder if his ears are ringing from all us moochers lol+

whoooooooooopsie

here is the link of the brown lecture book i am talking about which i find very helpful

http://www.amazon.com/Pathology-Review-Saunders-T...

it is roughly 300 pages, including a comprehensive examination, and questions and pictures per chapter.

The Audio and the Rapid review book both have equal merits and chosing one wud be very tough for anyone. So in my opinion/recommendation is for both. But if u want to stick to one source then i wud suggest go for the book.

Starbrite............I am having the same problem and have been having the same problem for a while now. I actually posted the same type of question on here a while back as well as on another forum. I tried to listen to the audios and also do the STARS book but the STARS book is a little too much as it takes a long time to get through it. I have now gone back to listening to the audios and following along with the new Rapid Review book. You have to do a little jumping around but all of the info from the audios is there and more. I have decided to go the route of audios + Rapid Review. Let me know if you guys got any ideas or suggestions.

thanks everyone!

new_n_lost- i agree that rapid review is a good book. i just personally cant get used to the style i think my mind is being stubborn.

drchromatin-- wow we both are strugging eh lols. im surprsied to hear you say that the audio is better, i find it to be very annoying i dont knwi why. i am not much of an audio listener.

i like organization and i think the stars book is beter just because it has columns and titles and bullet notes. dont you find the stars book to be smaller , and less info as welL?!

i figured out a great way to help us both drchromatin!

and its something i have indirectly been doing anyways.

i listen to the audio, then flip to the part in the stars book, and read it . indirectly i go by his audio so if his audio dint mention it , i sort of ignore it. but, if hte audi menteiond it i read it. and the way it is written again with teh headlines and titles and bold, helps me organize what he said. so the star book is really just a map of organization of waht his audio is saying.

then u r making the cardinal mistake of not updating urself. His audios r possibly of the yr 04 or early 05 lectures and the new book is around 06-07. So if u only listen to his audios he does skip at times certain important topics, and the updated info in the new book is missing in his audios. SO if u find star review helpful then complete the book. dont leave things behind under the assumption that its not important.
