I have one good LOR form Doctor who is assistant professor at UCSF .But problem is that he wrote in the letter that "I ( he ) UNDERSTAND FROM HIM ( me )THAT HE'S SINCERELY INTERESTED IN FIELD OF INTERNAL MEDICINE ". MY Question-
1.)Is this line in his letter going to HURT my chances to get residency in Psychiatry.
2.)should i assign this letter Or Not to programs .
3.) If i don't assign this letter then i have only two LOR's
4.) Can he email to programs on my behalf or not , say every thing same except i'm interested in IM .
PLEASE HELP ME WHAT CAN I DO NOW ? THANKS

Just FYI….. that now that most stuff for most people is already uploaded… it takes a shorter time to upload now than it did in September. See below

Scanning - ERAS Support Services is currently scanning documents received on Monday, October 15. ERAS Support Services at ECFMG requires up to four weeks from receipt to scan and upload documents to the ERAS PostOffice.

I think that you should ask him to write another LOR in which everything might be the same but he doesnt mention IM....the most imp thing tht psych ppl r looking for is...serious interest in psych...n this statement might make u look as if ur applying in psych as a back up (psych programs hate it)
