if i take the cs exam in early jan , is there any chance that any hospital will wait till my result come on ?
plz i need ur experience

No change for match because your CS result is late. You need to take CS before Dec 31.
But you can participate in post match scramble.

thanks robin082006 ? but i know that the post match occurs in midmarch , so no cs result will be available yet so how can one participate in post match with his exam in early jan , and the results begin to come on by late march

if your finish both 1 and 2... i suggest you prepare for CS now. Then check everyday or every hour the schdule for CS because once in a while you will see someone backing out...(usually around 2weeks from their schdule). so by then, you can take it once someone back out. The results which who took CS Sept9-Oct.-Nov 2007 will start releasing the result on Dec5-jan... those who took Nov-Dec 31 2007 will have their results on Jan. 2nd week to Feb. 20,2008.(USMLE.COM) So i think those who are able to take until end of dec will be on time till the Rank Order list. Those who will take Jan. might be too late for this year's match...but of course sometimes you get lucky! I took mine last oct so my results will be on Dec... praying that i pass cause if i didnt... i think it would be hard to retake it again and get a shot to be match.
