Can anybody give some good opinion on interview questions?

1-Why you choose internal medicine?

2- please tell me about yourself?what should be told in it ?

thanks

these 2 questions should be mentioned in your personal statement.

Just repeat it.

robin do you mind answering them.It would be really appreciated to know your point of view.
thank you

please anybody share your thoughts?

I don't think that there is any "right" answer to that question. Each person will have their own reason based on their individual experiences. Unless your applying to IM as a back up, just go with the honest answer.

They are personal questions, I cannot write my own.

You just tell the truth if you were asked.

Good luck

thank you robbin ,but I didnot ask for your personal experience.I asked the general answer .Like what attracted you to internal medicine ?

also tell me about yourself ?like what should be mentioned in it.

i donot understand why people think that it is competition and answering them will put them behind.this is what I always got answered when asked

thanks anyway

zzaa,

don't get upset. nobody is trying to hide information fromyou. this is a very personal question- everybody has a different reason to go into IM. I chose it because I enjoyed my IM rotations in med school tremendously. you? I don't know....And when they ask about your personality- tell them a little about you(remember keep it short)- where did you grow up, why medicine, what you enjoy in life and in your profession, your goals- this question can be answered in 1000 different ways, there is no right or wrong. don't panick so much! be honest and engaging - you are telling a story, the story of your life.

good luck!

thank you medicus for your answer.I just got upset because everybody thinks that I am trying to get their personal information ,or if i get their answers they will have less chance of performing in interviews.

I posted this in another forum and everybody was so insecure about telling their secrets.
The forums are there to help ? right.

Any answer is correct, bud. Some might talk from an academic point of view, citing that they did well in their int. med rotations. Some might talk about a specific field, and what they find attractive about it eg cardio, nephro. Some might talk about family history and say they felt like it was their "calling" because they had a family member that [blah blash blah].

There is no wrong answer, friend.
