How can we improve our chance to get an interview when you are graduated more than ten years ago?
I know for research, observwer/externship,USCE,LOR,
what else ?
It seems that some of us are ponished because of being old graduates .

Haven't you got any good personal connection through your time doing USCE? Interpersonal skill is the key to make a good connection.

I have lots of attendings as my immediate supperwiser that is why I have LORs but I donot think I can ask them to be my connections
How? what do you meen by connection?You mea to ask them to call for me?but first i have to get interview then ask them to call right?
what do you thinK?

Connection is the way to set your foot on the door. To get an interview. After that it depends solely on your performance. If programs don't see you as a worthy candidate, then they won't take you.

take the bull by the horns and ask them to assist you. let them know what your fears are concerning your years since grad and ask them if there is any way they can help you. if they ask what exactly you need, then tell them you will like them to speak on your behalf to PD's they know. you have absolutely nothing to lose. they will either do it or say they cannot do it. if you dont ask, they will not offer to assist you beyond the letters they have written for you. by the way, american graduates also have their mentors calling for interviews on their behalf.

tolito , you are right I am going to ask one of immediate superwisers for advice and see if he can help me ,at least he know sme the best if I am capable of residency and he is very honest with me.Thank you again
