spleen with thick capsule and scarring , scar on biopsy and microscopy showed hemosiderin deposition and calcification.What is the cause ?

What is the name for those scarring bodies found in spleen ?

I maybe wrong , but anyway , something like gammy gandy nodules?

i also thought of sickle cell anemia, in which there is scariing and shrinkage of the spleen, and there might be hemosiderine deposit. can some one differentiate the 2 conditions

you are right gul ,its gamma gandy nodules...

You know everything gul ...

as far as sickle cell anemia is conserned it would mention about its size and calcification wouldnot be seen ,though small amount of hemosiderin deposition could be found .
