Screening for Ovarian Cancer is not recommended for the normal healthy woman.
However, for those who are at higher risk (eg fam hx) should be screened with CA-125 and vag. U/S.
UW says "periodic" screening -not sure what that means exactly? Every few years?

Avg risk --> no screen is recomended

Low risk- (ie isolated relative had the disease) --> annual Ca-125 and vaginal U/S

High risk (ie multiple family members with breast or ovarian cancer. Or 1st degree relative with ovarian cancer before the age of 40) --> Test BRCA 1 and BRCA 2, and follow up with twice yearly CA-125 and transvaginal ultrasounds

if he specified in the question that he wants OVARIAN CANCER screeining
you should choose ca-125+ US even if there is a typical family history and the BRCA is among the choices because BRCA is not a SCREENING test.
