hello everyone
i have a question
apart from marks, which one is better for getting into residency -observership/externship ? anything else?
all inputs are highly welcome

ofcourse externship!!

good US LORS, research, med school honours, extra curricular performance

as drgeorgie says externship seems to be the best one.

If US lors can come from a teaching hospital even better.
If you also participate in research you'll get contacts for rotations too. If you don't have research but you can submit something for publication, like a case report it will be a good idea.
Try to feel all the requirements for your application.

Externship allows HANDs-ON, internship does not. Externship will look better on CV, but observership does still count...so either-or is good.

Research, US LORs, etc. are all bonuses that pad your stats.

was a bit sceptical since i saw many with clinical exp still struggling to get thru
