Program Name: Roger Williams Medical Center Date of Interview: November Where did u stay, nearest hotel, travel etc: Take flight, rent car, and stay at Radisson Hotel (book from priceline.com, nice place) Level of "stress" (0-10): 3-4 How many interviewers: 1 How many applicants: 10 Tour included visits to: Complete hospital tour by a very nice chief resident Questions asked: What do you see your self in the next 10 years, What would you do after graduate? Hobbies? No meds Qs Happy residents: yes / no / ? : yes Atmosphere: very nice environment and people City, how is living there?: small city, beautiful, not much entertainment, 20-30 minutes access to the hospital from any part of the state. Research oriented: yes / no / ? yes Prematch offers?: yes (probably) Visa sponsored?: J-1 What I liked the most?: Very well designed program, fellowship opportunity, very nice environment What should be improved?: pretty much none that I know Rate experience (0-10): 8 Conclusion: I'll definitely go there if they offer me prematch

Program Name: roger williams Date of Interview: november 2007 Where did u stay, nearest hotel, travel etc: hotel in Boston, I drove in the morning ( the interview started at 10 am) Level of "stress" (0-10): 2 How many interviewers: 1 How many applicants: 6 Tour included visits to: medical ward, ICU, CCU ( 3 patients!!!), bone marrow transplant section Questions asked: the person who interviewed me DIDN"T know ANYTHING about my application - she asked me if I passed the clinical exam, what are my scores... Happy residents: yes / no / ? : yes, almost all are AMG Atmosphere: nice between them , but one of them said something like - "I can not stand people who come here to take our jobs!" City, how is living there?: nice city, one bedroom around 1000$ in downtown. Research oriented: yes / no / ? yes- 3 months of electives in PGY1 Prematch offers?: no Visa sponsored?: I don't know, I am a gc holder What I liked the most?: chief resident- nice and smart person What should be improved?: long discution- they are kind of nursing home , not a broad area of pathology besides hem- onc. even so 50% of residents go in a fellowship Rate experience (0-10): 2 Conclusion: The interview was very unprofesional, a lot of AMG who were thrilled about the program. Very laid back program, not scutwork , not to much pathology , not to many patients.

Program Name: Hospital of Rhode ISland Date of Interview: Nov 8 Where did u stay, nearest hotel, travel etc: My cousins place Level of "stress" (0-10): 2 How many interviewers: 2 How many applicants: 6 Tour included visits to: ED, Clinics, Medical floors. Questions asked: Routine Happy residents: yes / no / ? : Yes Atmosphere: Amazing learning environment City, how is living there?: Small town, just an hour away from boston. Research oriented: yes / no / ? Yes Prematch offers?: I don't think so. Visa sponsored?: J1 What I liked the most?: the program director, she is a very nice lady. What should be improved?: Rate experience (0-10): 7. Conclusion: If they give a prematch I will grab it right away.
