Tour included visits to: wards, ricu, ccu, canteen, call rooms,ED,library Questions asked: tell me bout urself, why boston, tell me bout an interesting case U saw and the usual stuff.no medical questions. Happy residents: yes / no / ? : YES Atmosphere: good.residents seemed happy, faculty very friendly City, how is living there?: appartments can get a bit pricey(all of the residents i met rent),traffic is unruly, public transport-great Research oriented: yes / no / ? yes(clinical, not basic research) Prematch offers?: yes What I liked the most?:most of the residents go into fellowship(few cards and gi,most nephro) dept of nephro very strong and nephro fellowship-good placements. What should be improved?: only 1 month of outside elective in 3 years things i am quite concerned about : 1.majority of patients are in the geriatric age group 2.financial stability of caritas christi Rate experience (0-10): 7 Conclusion:community prog with strong affiliaton to tuft, atmosphre good, good fellowship(esp. in nephro).will rank high ,but no to prematch.

Program Name: Caritas Carney Hospital Date of Interview: Dec Where did u stay, nearest hotel, travel etc: I drove to Boston, and stayed at Comfort Inn... I shared with the forum hero, who kindly made the reservation, and we finally saved about 60 box. Level of "stress" (0-10): 2 How many interviewers: 2 How many applicants: 10 Tour included visits to: ICU, wards, cafeteria, library, lounge, auditorium Questions asked: Where do you see yourself in 10 years, why this program, what can you bring to this program, do you have any questions?. Happy residents: yes / no / ? : Yes Atmosphere: The PD is very nice, he is also the chief of Medicine. Most of categoricals are IMGs. City, how is living there?: Same as previous post by countdown Research oriented: yes / no / ? No, but good opportunities to do electives at other hospitals in Boston. Prematch offers?: Visa sponsored?: J1/H1 What I liked the most?: The Program Director, 3 electives during internship, with possibilities to do away electives. What should be improved?: financial stability, they say it's been around for 50 years, since it is a hospital that serves mostly uninsured patients. The PD says the panorama looks good though. It has been ranked among 1% for quality of care, efficiency. Rate experience (0-10): 7 Conclusion: It's an OK program, Residents are friendly. The hospital is small, around 180 beds, so no in-house fellowships. Fellowship placement is around 50% off those who apply. Mostly geriatric patients.
