JFK is in queens. You get airtrains from the airport @ 5 dollars to get to Jamaica where you can get the LTR or some such trains into NY city centre. You might have to make changes from Penn Station NY to get to brooklyn. That is how I would plan my itenary. I don't know a better way. But you are right JFK is closer to brooklyn and easily acessible in comparison to Newark. Hope that helps.

JFK is alot closer to brooklyn... by cab your into brooklyn in 20 minutes (depends on where you are staying)... around $20 or take airtrans ($5) to subway-A triain ($2) usually no difference in price to come into laguardia or JFK my suggestion - the metro in NYC is overwhelming and a bit confusing... so unless you have specific instructions on how to get from your hotel to your interview from the PC, I would budget for a cab on the morning of the interview...

I am wondering how the cab system works in US.... do we call them on phone? and there is a chance of getting stuck in traffic?

yes you can call them by phone... there is allways a chance of getting stuck in traffic... if you are staying in a hotel ask the hotel desk clerk to help - tell him/her where you are going and when you need to be there... he/she may give you cab numbers or order the cab for you... thats their job! he/she will also advise you when is the best time to have the cab pick you up to ensure timeliness for your interview.
