benign intracranial hypertension --(Pseudotumor cerebri) association with pregnancy, estrogen treatment, cortisone-related medications, adrenal or parathyroid gland abnormality, and certain drugs (tetracycline, vitamin A, nalidixic acid).

treatment is Pseudotumor cerebri is treated by discontinuing offending medications, if applicable. Further medical treatment involves weight loss and diuretic medications.

The condition can also be helped by repeated drainage of spinal fluid using the lumbar puncture. This must be done with care. Typically, daily lumbar punctures are performed until the spinal fluid pressure is lowered.
