infact there are two answers to this... sad

I wud go for tolerance...but seizure also fits in...its a feature of dependency...I dunno from which Q bank did you take this out...but I am quite sure...its not a well written question smiling face

the symptoms of alchol abuse are:

increased craving
inability to stop oneself from drinking
physical dependence
tolerance...

CAGE screens it

Answer is B.

DSM criteria for alcohol abuse includes repeated use inspite of hazardous consequenses, such as those mentioned in the stem.

criteria for dependance includes: unsuccessful desire to cut down, seizures, suicidal ideation and tolerance.

yes, the stem is written in a jumbled up form, and too much info thrown at ya all at once. also, the symptoms and answer options sound too familiar to differentiate b/w abuse and dependance. but the qn itself comes from a reputed qbank.
