37-year-old man comes to the physician 2 days after the sudden onset of severe low back pain. The pain began when he was lifting heavy boxes. He is otherwise healthy and takes no medications. Examination shows paraspinal muscle tenderness and spasm. After 5 days of bed rest and oxycodone therapy, his back pain resolves. Which of the following measures is most likely to prevent a recurrence of his symptoms?

A) Exercise program

This sounds like lumbar muscle strain. Because the treatment for muscle strain is rest. Strengthening Back Exercises to prevent back strain. What does "Spinal manipulation" means? physical therapy?

I will probably pick C.
