a rheumatoid arthritis patients call you on satuday morning saying that she cannot open the tap and she cannot even take a bath and as she says she bursts into tears.she says her husband left for work.

a ...you ask her to clinic right away so you can give her steroid shot

b...ask her to wait till husband comes

c.....console her that most rheumatoid arthritis patients you know, feel that their independence has been take away and you would enroll her to a pain clinic

d...advise her to callplumber

e...tell her to use a long rod so that she can open the tap

Her primary concern is difficulty in doing a certain task, and providing help on that, is the job of the physician. she is not in pain, and needs no immediate medical attention.

So the answer is E.

The patient is crying, so this validates the feelings and also provides more care per the pain clinic. Is she crying from pain, frustration or both? I think both.

it has to be A....since the patient is in pain and the doctors responsibility is to provide relief from her pain...... confused
