HCV AB negative
HCV AG negative
HCV RNA positive
what is your next step?

HCV RNA positive = active HCV next step interferon and ribavirin

but why HCV Ab & ELISA are -ve ?

Expect raised Serum tansaminases. That indicates HCV is biting the liver and both Ab and Ag are negative 'cause probably patient is in the window period but at a latter date, the patient becomes positive for both Ag and Ab if HCV is quick enough to change its coat.....

R u sure theres window period in HCV cases?I mean i hav heard of it in HBV cases but nt in HCV.Can any 1 help?I thot if hcv RNA comes positve on pcr one shd put pt on interferon.

There is no window period in Hep C, it's called latent period, but these are just words. The above rationales are correct.
