Do we always go for Laparotomy in Gun Shot Wounds or Stab Wounds if it is clear that Pts periotneum has been breeched, regardless of Pt being Stable? or would u do Laparoscopy if Pt was Stable??

what exaclty determines laparotomy vs laparoscopy in cases of penetrating wounds??

thx much

Yeah, I saved the ones which were tricky or ones which I need to memorize but didn't want to write notes on...

you posted a question earlier asking about gunshot and stab wounds to the three zones of the neck. I had a chart at one point, I think it was out of the kaplan surgery notes. I can't locate it in my notes right now. But if you have the kaplan notes, it should be in there.

Sorry I had to delete the posts because of the ID# showing... I'll post them again without it.
