A Clonidine has been used with some success by many women for relief from hot flashes. It is a blood pressure medication, but it has been shown to be effective against hot flashes when used in low doses, Estrogen is contraindicated b/c of the hx of PE

Yes clonidine a dinosaur is somewhat of a magic drug: Used in opiate, tobacco, and nicotine withdrawl, diabetic diarrhea, Tourettes syndrome, Attention deficit disorder, post herpetic disorder, Ulcerative Colitis , to Dx pho, AIDS.
