Better than mine. I have 3 rejection and 1 on-hold from them, which occupies my 80% rejection.

I think GLO has the formula.... she's the guru in texas... of course one of the ingredients is spanish...I guess....
It's impressive how many AMGs speak spanish...they know how important it is. so that's something important for future applicants....
people may learn some spanish anyways if you train at places like new york, texas, florida, etc... sometimes translators are not enough...

i'm going monday, first IV. yikes! speaking spanish is a prerequisite pretty much, from what i hear.

  #10

good luck for your first iv. I WISH U SUCCESS

  #11

thanks, i'll let you know how it goes.

Good luck c5a are u spanish speaker also? Hey prueba that was a nice compliment but you have got your share of Texas IV's also!! I think as you said spanish-speaking skills are a big plus and you are right a lot of the doctors that I know in Houston either are IMG's or AMG's who speak an impressive amount of spanish for an american...they know it is quite important so they do speak it...and I think it is quite nice that they know how important it is and do their best to learn it and try to communicate with their patient.

I did not apply to El Paso but for what I've seen it is almost like an extension of Mexico and spanish-speaking population is incredibly big there so speaking spanish would be something that caughts the eye in those programs... I really don't like El Paso so I did not apply there but every friend that I know that speaks spanish and applies there has got and IV.

for those IVing at el paso, look at FREIDA. it was just updated a couple days ago with new info. you'll notice, university program now (not community/unif affiliated). this is the site of a new 4 year med school (this used to be a satelite campus of lubbock, tx). not anymore. there's been a lot of politics getting the millions of $$$ to get the campus here approved. cool beans. also, you'll notice, there's not 10-11 spots available, but 15.

Oh! Excellent update C5a...
Good Luck on monday!
