shoaib akthar 25 years old fastbowler, has been nicknamed RAWALPINDI EXPRESS , as he was clocked by the speed gun as over 100mph , the world's fastest bowler. despite bowling furiously fast and unplayable deliveries, he was thwarted by virender sehwag the diminutive indian batsman,all over the ballpark. he (shoaib) was being interviewed, at the end of match, and asked how was it to bowl so fast , and then being hit all over the place..... he responded, " no, i should have known better,that VIRU is strong on backfoot, i should have known that he has the best squarecut in the worldcricket,it was my fault.......

thank you for these very nice-usmle type questions, AND PLEASE DO KEEP WRITTING, I'M SURE EVERYONE LEARN FROM IT. And I guess I need to review my psychiatry..but I will try to take another guess by process of elimination...Ok, so I'm sure Answer A/C/D/ ARE WRONG, AND I WAS PRETTY SURE HE WAS RATIONLALING, BUT I GUESS THAT'S WRONG TOO, SO I WILL GO WITH (B) I TRIED TO LOOK IN KAPLAN, BUT THEY DO HAVE ANY DEFINATION OR EXAMPLE FOR (identification), so please kindly do explain. thanks

introjection is the answer. introjection is the opposite of projection. projection is where you see your ideas in others. introjection is where you express others ideas in you. it is like identifying with the agressor , so that you dont feel weak anylonger. here, by depicting his tormentor as the technically best batsman, shoaib is showing defence. in the previous questions, i remember depicting a lady who has been abused by her husband, saying"no it was my fault, i should have known better, the beer was not cold enough" . this is agian, classical introjection. thanks for nicewords, tony! sure i will write many more questions !
