Hi,
I was just wondering what would be the right time to call the programs who havn't sent an accptance, rejection or "your application is being reviewed, be patient" to ask the status of my application.....
Thought i'd ask you since you'd know better

There isn't a right time. Some programs never will send you an email telling you anything.

i wish they would send even just a generic courtesy letter...is it really that hard to mass email? i personally don't like calling up PCs because I know they have tons of work, but I do need some info on how things are going and I think the email is perfect for that. Then again, I am just a lowly applicant, an IMG at that, so who cares, right?

Hello everyone. I am also thinking what to do. Have applied to 80 programs and just recieved 7 or 8 rejections. I tried emailing them but they dont reply. One replied politely telling me to sit quite whereas another one replied on my eras msg center telling me politely to shutup and sit quitely and wait.
Again the same question, is that allright to call up the programs ?? Will it help or cause trouble ??

same Q--wasting days on end checking mails and worrying about if ill get any more interviews at all when I should be studying for Step3 .
Any suggestions as to what should be done?

I am in the same boat, gradually losing patients and start to worry if there's something wrong with my application. Programs I worry about have sent out interviews to IMGs, some sent out both interviews and rejections. Really feel like doing somehting but don't want to rush the programs either...

everywhere i think the same condition is rolling....till now not even a single iv, and many programs r not telling whether Im still in race or all ready out ......its a very dejecting experience

Hmmmm, I know the feeling. I guess I am in the same boat. It would be really nice if they could email back the applicants once they get rejected. It may be tough givin that they receive applications in the hundreds or in the thousands but i'm sure there must be a easier way. Bulk emailing all the rejections every week or something.
I'm not in favor of calling the PC's to ask em bout my status coz I know verywell they are busy, but if push comes to shove i'd rather call them and find out when others around me are getting iv's from the programs that I have applied to.
Some programs were actually nice enough to send me an email saying my application was received and in review and they will inform me of my status. So these are the programs that I am definitly not gonna bother. The others..... well trying to think of a perfect time to start calling them.
Was thinkin' the first week of Nov, do you guys (and bbb) think that's to late
