What are the levels of IgA, IgG, IgE, IgM
(increased, decreased, or normal for each one?)

The immunologic defects include low serum concentrations of IgM,
while IgA & IgG are normal, IgE is frequently increased
IgM↓, IgA,IgG-nl, IgE↑

I keep reading different things in different texts.
Kap says:
A and E elevated, G normal, M low
From my Step 1 Q-bank notes I have: A, G, E increased, M low.
hhmmm....what to do?

IgA & IgE = Normal to high.
IgM = Decreased
IgG = Normal to low

So i think since Emedicine & NEJM r almost going on the same labs, its better to stick to them.

So we agree that IgM is LOW -done.
IgA and IgE -most sources say INCREASED
IgG -most sources say NORMAL
so thats what I'll memorize!

I think:
turn the W upside down and IgM is low which we agree upon.
Doesnt IgE increase with eczema, I dont think of increase secretions with Wiskott Aldrich so why would IgA be increased. But i do think of thrombocytopenia and eczema..
