if they get caught, then their ECFMG certificates will be revoked forever, so don't try this, if u really know somebody doing this, let the ECFMG know about him/her

i came across many people who are showing false clinical experience in their home country(even if they were in USA at that time !!!) in their application form for the match.

this person i know even got an LOR from US physician without ever going to the hospital !!!!!

this is very unfair to people who work very hard and get real LOR from US and from their home country.

BBB i am wondering wont the PD'S check the authenticity of these clinical exp and LOR??

With programs receiving 3000-5000 applications and 3 LORs from every applicant, we can't check on the authenticity of every LOR. How? I wouldn't even know how to do that. Even if I offer 300 interviews - that would be 900 telephone calls. How could a program do that. But if you are caught, you won't work as a physician in the USA. Simple. The ECFMG certification is revoked.

Ethics.
