hello shohreh n seem.bh ,
i am sorry to hear this..i can feel what exactly u are going thru. but the positive side is that u are overcoming that and ready to do this with new vigour. keep up the spirit.
this time u will surely do great.
u already hv the exp of the exam..so just practise and practise..shoreh..u know ur weaknesses .. work on them first and try to take UW for 2 mnths. then u can do and revise properly.
cleopatra,how s everything going at ur end. u will also do well.

Seem.bh my friend i am sorry about your results i know its hard but it is also possible to overcome our situation .all i can say is take a deep breath relax let your shoulders drop and look at the pros and cons 1st we know what it feels like to go through the exam we have come 360degrees if we stayed at 180 that would have been nice meaning we would have passed so this means we overdid it
anyways for me i looked at my results profile i was strong in genetics,biochem,histo& cell bio and some other subjects and i was suprised not to have done patho,physio and pharma as well as i had prepared it so i have figured out that is my problem i also did not use goljan,and did not do nbme i used first aid late and it would have been nice if i did alot more qs than i did, i felt i had to read and re read again and again and thanks God for this forum i know about my weaknesses and ppl give me good advice
enough said my friends lets work had and do good
shohrer welcome back i am glad you are energized all i acan say to you ans seem.bh is try to figure out your weakness and work on it

I am sorry and i am not Seem.bh.I am sorry because every body knows what it means preparing for the stapes we deserve good results of our hard work.
i am not sorry the problem is not beyond repair ypu can repair.you already know what the exam looks like so try to work on your weak points and movr foreward i am certain you are going to make it .
i also failed and took it the second time i passed ,AT the end of the day your hard work pays off.

seem.bh as far as what will show in your record,i dont have any thing in my account that says i am retaking the exam or it is my second attempt but as far as what i heard from people who applied for residency the have ways to find out
that it is your first or second or what ever attempts you have.but i am not really shure about this
Seem.bh what really matters is do your best in the future what has happened has happened let us work to do our best in what we have at our reach i also know people who failed and took the exam again who joined the residency
so we will work hard and improve.

well MYDREAM congrats,em soooo happpy for u ,i know its so realxing after a lond hectic effort,and relaxing when it pays back
and SEEMBH i know its tough time and u have to go thru same tough procedure again,but this time things would be more undestandable and u can score realllly reallly goood ,and ur hardwork not wasted it would add up in this prep ,
i just want to add,we all work so hard oue aim is same,but sometime if something happens we shud nt think ,y y y y ME,i know its hurting feeling but then u shud think of best things u have,and sometime some bad things happen for sake of BEST

i have first aid 2005 ,is this differ from 2007 or they are the same?
and about goljan pathology which one is better to do?
and do you think first aid is enough because it is just high yeild facts in 30 60 pages for each subject and i am comfused and wondering if it the book that is used with otheres?

well we r here for u,
hmm yeah i will reapeat same,grab ur 80% first so finish FIRST aid word to word,wid concentration on each line that how it cud be it presented in question format,then comes ur notes ,if have time go thru atleast goljan general pathology,as its good correalte between biochem,genetics,path and physion and many high yield stuff ,then do 100 page or 36 page high yieldmorethan enough of goljan,if really have much more time and stamina then do special path of goljan otherwise skip it but do slides,as i did same

how r u all doing...posting here after many days...i was out of city since 3 weeks....i am sorry to hear about the results...i can see that u all r already in action to win this battle n i am sure u will definitly do it....i got my score ....just managed to get 80 percentile....i know its a low score....may be my prep was not adequate enough.
I wish u all GOOD LUCK n high scores.I got my step 2 books yesterday n will be starting my prep soon.

hay seembh,goljan takes good care of gnetics and kaplan question and explanations along wid text ,so u will find more than 90 percent stuff there.but text of kap[lan is too much if u have good concept of kapln u can skip text and do question and explanations with goljan and first aid,best luck

.ok hey dr ruman im doing kap notes but i had a lot of research oriented questiond in relation to genetics and a lot of anti retro again research oriented like for eg name the mutation if this is a condition{ im tld not to write exact questions of the exam}...stuff like tht...so hey can u help me if u know any material reardin these kinda questions???
