how will you describe the sensory nerve distribution for obturator nerve ?
Any hint to differentiate both ?

You're so right!
Yes, in surgical hernial repair, there are 2 Nerves that can be damaged:
1)Iliohypogastric:arrow: ipsilateral abdominal wall anesthesia
2)Ilioinguinal :arrow: anesthesia to ipsi penis, scrotum, medial thigh.

It's not inside the spermatic cord; it's inside the inguinal canal together with the spermatic cord.
